High on the list was to visit a zoo for my son's benefit, so we visited Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Originally a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas, it is additionally a home for other Australian animals too. In my opinion zoo's in Australia are the best in the world where it feels like the animals are protected in the best possible conditions. They never disappoint me.
